Guns are regulated, why not pit bulls?

Well, October is pit bull awareness month - and I just stumbled across an article by Bob Confer of the Niagara Gazette, who has put into words some thoughts that have been swimming around in my head for awhile. What do you think - does he have a valid point, or not?

  2. EDUCATE YOURSELF! YOU ONE SIDED, NARROW MINDED IMBECILE! IF YOU CARE FOR ANIMALS, THEN YOU CARE FOR ALL BREEDS! PUNISH THE OWNER, NOT THE BREED!!!!!

MAY THE LORD HAVE MERCY ON YOUR SOUL FOR JUDGING OTHERS SO WRONGFULLY.

EDUCATE THEM, LORD, BESTOW THY WISDOM WELL, ONE OR TWO PITBULLS SHOULD THY WILL BE DONE, AND THEN WILL THY MERCY BE A BLESSING!!!

PRAISE GOD, AND MAY I LIVE TO PREACH MY LOVE, TOLERANCE, AND EDUCATION OF IMBECILES FOR ANOTHER DAY

  3. Wow, you are stereotyping and discriminating. You must think african americans steal and can't hold jobs and mexican's are all drug dealers. Is your life so pathetic that all you have to do is attack innocent animals? I pity such an uneducated, close minded person. It must be lonely there.

  4. It's difficult to know what these pit agitators want, isn't it? For every new mauling or killing of people or pets by pit bulls, they say (among other things) "it's the fault of the bad owner!" or "the irresponsible owner should not have pit bulls!"

But as soon as we start to mention any sort of guidelines to keep these dangerous creatures out of the hands of "irresponsible" owners, they go ballistic and scream "discrimination!"

So we can only assume that these pit fans want to continue to see dogs mauled to death by pit bulls, and don't want any restrictions whatever, public safety be damned.
